Get ready for more magical mayhem as Disney plans to release a third installment of the beloved film ‘Hocus Pocus’.

According to a source familiar with the project, the movie is still in the very early stages of development.

Last year, the original cast members Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy reprised their roles as the mischievous Sanderson sisters in “Hocus Pocus 2”. The film was exclusively released on Disney+ and garnered a massive 2.7 billion minutes of viewing within a week.

The original ‘Hocus Pocus’ movie, released almost two decades ago, tells the story of three witches who return to wreak havoc on Salem’s children one Halloween night. Despite a lackluster box office performance and mixed reviews, the film has gained a devoted fan following and is considered a cult classic.

The sequel, while receiving slightly better reviews, continued to deliver the same nostalgic charm and humor as the original, leaving fans hungry for more.

The announcement of a third movie doesn’t come as a complete surprise, as the ending of the sequel hinted at a possible continuation. The final scene showed a second Black Flame Candle, the very object that brings the witches back to life, suggesting that the Sanderson sisters’ story is far from over.

Although specific details about the third movie are scarce, Walt Disney Pictures President Sean Bailey revealed in an interview that the company has more than 50 films in development or production. This indicates a strong commitment to delivering a diverse range of new content.

While fans eagerly await further updates, it’s clear that the return of the Sanderson sisters will be worth the wait. Expect more magical mischief and an enchanting continuation of the ‘Hocus Pocus’ saga.
