Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s joint business venture, Something About Her, is on the verge of opening its doors to customers. Originally planned to launch in May, the sandwich shop faced delays due to permit issues. However, a source now reveals that the establishment will finally open in mid-August, and everything is ready, from the menu to the interior design, with the staff already hired.
The construction progress of Something About Her was evident from pictures shared by the publication, showcasing the patio outside the restaurant undergoing renovations. However, the site faced setbacks when the city declared that the patio didn’t meet permit standards. To comply with regulations, Ariana, 38, and Katie, 36, had to spend a considerable amount, reportedly ‘six-figures,’ to demolish and rebuild the outdoor space up to code. They also had to remove their signage.

The delays have led to fans speculating that the Vanderpump Rules stars were not being truthful about the reasons for the delay, accusing them of not being close to opening. However, a source close to the situation clarified that the permit issues were the only roadblock, and the frustration among the stars was due to the misunderstanding.
Despite the setbacks, Ariana and Katie have been keeping their fans informed through social media about the shop’s progress. They have managed to build anticipation and excitement surrounding the grand opening. During the Vanderpump Rules season 10 reunion, they revealed that they had already sold merchandise connected to the shop, including sweatshirts, T-shirts, and hats, worth $200,000.
