Bryan Cranston Plans to Retire from Hollywood and Enjoy Life in France with His Wife
Bryan Cranston, known for his role in “Breaking Bad,” has revealed his three-year plan to step away from Hollywood. He wants to create a more balanced life for himself and his wife, Robin Dearden. Cranston acknowledges that Dearden has always played a supporting role as the wife of a celebrity, and now he wants to prioritize her happiness.
Cranston envisions retiring temporarily and spending time in a small French village. He wants to immerse himself in the local culture, learn the language, and indulge in a peaceful lifestyle. He plans to enjoy day trips, cozy fireside moments, and wine-filled gatherings with new friends. During this period, he has no intentions of working or reading scripts. He emphasizes that he won’t be taking any phone calls and aims to fully disconnect.
As part of this transition, Cranston will close down his production company, Moonshot Entertainment, and sell half of his Dos Hombres tequila brand, co-owned with his “Breaking Bad” co-star Aaron Paul. However, fans need not worry, as Cranston has already lined up projects for the next three years. He will star in Wes Anderson’s film “Asteroid City,” set to premiere soon, and will also appear in the upcoming spy thriller “Argylle,” directed by Matthew Vaughn.
Cranston expressed interest in a potential “Malcolm in the Middle” reunion project that was discussed with the show’s creator, Linwood Boomer. While he didn’t provide specific details, he mentioned his curiosity about exploring the family’s dynamics 20 years later.
On the other hand, Cranston dismissed the idea of a “Breaking Bad” revival, indicating that he believes it’s best not to push for too much. Although the possibility of a 15-year reunion was raised, he prefers to focus on his current endeavors.
For now, Cranston’s primary goal is to navigate the next three years successfully, leading up to his well-deserved break. He looks forward to sharing a peaceful life in France, sipping wine, and cherishing moments with his beloved wife.
