Cardi B is speaking out against rumors that her public feud with husband Offset was a publicity stunt for their new music.
A month ago, the couple had a public argument online over cheating allegations. But they put that aside and announced their new song “Jealousy.”
Offset released a teaser for the song where he parodied James Brown’s CNN interview and addressed rumors about their “drama.”
After the teaser, fans on social media wondered if the fight was staged to promote their music.
Cardi responded to a fan’s comment, denying it was a stunt and blaming blogger Tasha K for spreading lies.
She referred to her past defamation lawsuit against the blogger, which she won in court.
The feud in late June started when Offset posted an Instagram Story accusing Cardi of cheating.
Cardi responded on Twitter by singing lyrics from Keyshia Cole’s song “I Should Have Cheated.”
She defended herself and said she’s not just anyone, she’s Cardi B.
Sources said the couple often have intense arguments but work things out.
A week later, they were seen in public together in Paris, holding hands and celebrating their daughter’s birthday.
They have faced cheating rumors before, and Cardi even filed for divorce in 2020, but they decided to stay together.
“Jealousy” will be released on Friday.
