Taylor Swift fans in the Philippines recently organized a unique event in the hopes of bringing their favorite singer to their country. Uncertain whether Taylor Swift would include Asia in her Eras Tour, Swifties in Quezon City took matters into their own hands and created their own version of the highly anticipated show.
The event took place at Ayala Malls Trinoma, where local drag queen Taylor Sheesh, also a devoted Swift fan, performed a full set imitating the style and energy of Swift’s headline-making tour. Taylor Sheesh, whose online username is @heymacyou, expressed her gratitude to fellow Swifties for their support and energy during her performance.

The drag show was a complete recreation of Taylor Swift’s stadium-filling spectacle. It featured outfit changes representing different eras of Swift’s music, from a blue bodysuit for the “Midnights” era to a flowing gown for “Speak Now” and a red two-piece for “Red.” The performance included backup dancers, confetti cannons, and even merchandise, making it a truly immersive experience for attendees.
The setlist for the show consisted of Taylor Swift’s popular songs, including “Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince,” “You Need to Calm Down,” “Love Story,” “Willow,” “Don’t Blame Me,” “22,” and the highly anticipated “All Too Well (10 Minute Version).” Attendees could be seen singing along and dancing in videos that quickly went viral on TikTok over the weekend.

The main goal of this unique performance was to capture Taylor Swift’s attention and persuade her to include the Philippines in her Eras Tour. Attendees tagged their videos with #WeWantErasTourPhilippines, which garnered more than 17 million views, demonstrating the enthusiasm and dedication of Filipino Swifties.
The event was organized by Swifties Philippines, a collective of Taylor Swift fans in the country. Their aim was to unite fans as one nation and showcase their passion for Taylor Swift, while expressing their strong desire to see her perform in the Philippines.

This event draws parallels to a drag queen show that took place earlier this year in Peru. In that instance, YouTube star iOA organized a recreation of Rosalía’s Motomami World Tour when the artist did not include Peru in her tour dates. These fan-led initiatives demonstrate the power of fandom and the creativity of fans in bringing their favorite artists closer to them.
As of now, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is ongoing in the United States until August. Whether she will announce performances in other countries, including the Philippines, is yet to be confirmed. Nonetheless, the passion and dedication of Filipino Swifties showcased through their own version of the Eras Tour will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on Taylor Swift and her team.
