Greta Gerwig, the director of “Barbie,” is open to directing a James Bond film, although she’s focusing on her current projects. She admires Barbara Broccoli, the producer of the Bond franchise.

During a podcast interview, Gerwig expressed her excitement for “Barbie” and the challenges of adapting “The Chronicles of Narnia” books into films.

She admitted feeling scared but believes it’s a good sign as a director. She’s both terrified and excited about the Narnia project.

“Barbie” had a successful opening weekend, grossing $337 million globally. On the same day, Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” earned $174.2 million.
