Jennifer Lawrence has decided not to pursue a career in directing movies.
In 2015, the famous Hunger Games actress had plans to direct a film called Project Delirium. However, the project never materialized, and she hasn’t taken the opportunity to step behind the camera since then.
During an interview on Good Morning America, Jennifer was asked if she still had an interest in directing. With a hint of humor, she playfully replied, “You know, I used to hold that belief, but currently, I find myself feeling quite exhausted.” It looks really challenging.”
In a previous interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2015, the 32-year-old actress revealed her long-standing desire to direct. She shared, “It’s interesting, ever since I was 16, I’ve had a desire to direct and always felt that I should take gradual steps towards that goal. If I had attempted it earlier, I wouldn’t have been fully prepared.” Now I actually feel ready.”
The movie Project Delirium was based on the 2012 New Yorker article titled Operation Delirium. It explored the experiments conducted by military doctors on soldiers during the Cold War.
During the Good Morning America interview, Jennifer was primarily promoting her upcoming comedy film, No Hard Feelings, which is the third project produced by her production company, Excellent Cadaver.
When asked about her dual roles as an actor and producer, Jennifer shared, “It’s busy, but I’m focused and organized. I don’t take on any project that I can’t personally read every draft of and provide feedback on.”
No Hard Feelings is set to hit theaters on June 23rd, giving audiences a chance to enjoy Jennifer’s latest work.
