In an interview with Sky News, Lawrence expressed her excitement about bringing laughter to audiences. She acknowledged that making a comedy without offending anyone is a challenging task. She confidently stated that “No Hard Feelings” might offend everyone in some way, and she jokingly said, “You’re welcome.”

The movie, rated R in the U.S. and 15 in the U.K., features Lawrence in the role of a Montauk Uber driver facing financial difficulties. She finds herself in an unusual situation when she responds to a Craigslist ad to date and seduce an awkward 19-year-old named Andrew Barth Feldman. The young man’s overprotective parents do not want him to leave for college as a virgin.
Andrew Barth Feldman, who plays the teenager, shared his thoughts on the film’s potentially controversial content. He believes it is important for society to be able to confront and engage with offensive material. He mentioned that there was a period of overcorrection in comedy due to the realization that certain subjects should not be joked about. However, he feels that “No Hard Feelings” strikes a balance by pushing boundaries while still addressing the wrongness of the characters’ actions.
