The franchise’s journey began with the surprise hit of the first John Wick film in 2014, which grossed $87.8 million globally. With each subsequent installment, the franchise has expanded the universe of its criminal underworld and witnessed a boost in box office earnings. John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) achieved a worldwide gross of $171.5 million, while John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019) took it a step further with $326.7 million. The most recent release, John Wick: Chapter 4, has already grossed over $425.3 million worldwide and is still showing in cinemas across various regions. Its box office performance is expected to receive a further boost when it enters the Japanese market later this year.
