Kim Petras has announced the tracklist for her debut album, “Feed the Beast,” along with a release date of June 23. The album has had its share of delays and changes, but it’s finally set to arrive in a few weeks.

Before the release date announcement, Petras shared a mysterious medieval-themed mood board on social media. The collection of photos included images of a knight’s helmet, a metal shield, and various swords, setting an intriguing tone for the upcoming album. Petras captioned the post with the message, “The story begins on June 23rd.”

This album has been a long time coming for Petras. Initially, there were rumors that her debut would be titled “Problématique,” but those plans were abandoned last summer due to several leaks. Petras acknowledged the disappointment for both her and her fans, as the original album had helped her navigate through the challenges of the pandemic. However, she realized that she wanted to move in a different direction with her music.

“Feed the Beast” will mark Petras’ first full-length project with Republic Records. Leading up to the album, she has released singles such as “Brrr” and “Alone” featuring Nicki Minaj. Last February, she also released a 7-track EP called “S*** Pop,” which was entirely co-written and co-produced by Dr. Luke.

Speaking of Dr. Luke, it’s important to note that Petras has faced criticism for collaborating with him. Dr. Luke is currently involved in a defamation lawsuit with Kesha, who accused him of alleged sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. While Dr. Luke worked on “Alone,” he was not involved in “Brrr.” Petras has defended her decision to work with him, asserting that she is talented and fully capable of writing her own music.

The tracklist for “Feed the Beast” has been unveiled, featuring songs like the title track, “Alone” with Nicki Minaj, “King of Hearts,” “Uh Oh,” “Sex Talk,” and collaborations such as “Bait” featuring Banks and “Unholy” with Sam Smith. The tracklist showcases Petras’ versatility and diverse musical style.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of “Feed the Beast” and are excited to see how Petras’ debut album under Republic Records will unfold. Despite the challenges and changes along the way, Petras remains determined to showcase her talent and provide a unique musical experience for her listeners.
