Lil Durk’s Tour Cancelled Because of Health Problems

Lil Durk, the popular rapper known for hits like “All My Life,” has recently faced health issues that forced him to cancel several tour dates, including his highly anticipated appearance at Rolling Loud Miami. The Sorry for the Drought Tour, which had a total of 24 performances, saw a significant number of cancellations listed on Ticketmaster’s website, leaving only two shows in Lil Durk’s hometown of Chicago.

The 30-year-old rapper, whose real name is Durk Derrick Banks, has been struggling with health problems, leading to his recent hospitalization for severe dehydration and exhaustion. According to sources close to the rapper, Lil Durk was taken to a hospital in Ohio on July 6, where doctors deemed his condition to be serious. As a result, he had no choice but to cancel the European performances and an appearance at the ESPYs Awards.

Lil Durk shared a statement with DJ Akademiks on Instagram, explaining his situation and expressing his disappointment in missing the Rolling Loud performance. In the message, Lil Durk stated that he is still waiting for full clearance from his doctors to travel and perform again, leaving him with no choice but to cancel the headlining Rolling Loud show. However, he remains optimistic and is eagerly looking forward to his two homecoming shows in Chicago scheduled for August 11 and August 12 at the United Center, followed by new tour dates to be announced for the rest of the country.

The rapper’s health issues have been an ongoing concern, as he was previously hospitalized after his performance at Lollapalooza in 2022. During the show, Lil Durk sustained injuries from onstage pyrotechnics, causing him to wear a face mask and a bandage over his right eye. Despite the injuries, he continued with the performance, but later informed his fans that he needed to take a break and focus on his health.

Lil Durk’s song “All My Life,” a collaboration with J. Cole, became one of his biggest hits, peaking at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track is part of his latest album, Almost Healed, which earned RIAA’s Platinum certification in the US for selling over one million total units. The rapper expressed his gratitude to his fans on Instagram, acknowledging their unwavering support and motivation.
