Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper perform on ‘The Voice’

Niall Horan

Pop star Niall Horan will be returning as a coach for the 24th season of the popular singing competition series, The Voice. The announcement came on Monday, May 15, after Horan had already joined the show as a coach for the 23rd season. Fans of the show can expect to see more of him later this year as he mentors another group of aspiring musicians.

During the same episode, Horan took the stage to perform his latest single, “Meltdown,” giving the audience a taste of what’s to come on his upcoming album, The Show, which is set to be released on June 9. Accompanied by a full band and backing vocalists, Horan delivered an energetic and captivating live performance, marking his debut on live television. While he had previously teased the audience with a snippet of his earlier single, “Heaven,” this was the first time he had the opportunity to fully showcase his talents.

Another coach on The Voice, Chance the Rapper, also treated viewers to a special performance. Unlike Horan, Chance is not currently promoting new music, so his performance was more spontaneous and unexpected. He chose to perform “Same Drugs,” a track from his 2016 album Coloring Book. In a surprise move, Chance invited three of his former team members, Jamar Langley, Manasseh Samone, and Kala Banham, to join him on stage, creating a memorable and collaborative moment. Although Chance will not be returning for another season as a coach, he continues to support and nurture his team for future opportunities.

Following the exciting performances by Horan and Chance, the episode took a turn as three contestants were eliminated from the competition. It was a bittersweet moment as these talented individuals had made it through multiple rounds of head-to-head competitions. Alongside them, Kelly Clarkson also bid farewell to one of her team members. However, despite the setbacks, all three eliminated contestants showed resilience and remained focused on supporting their remaining teammates.
