PinkPantheress teams up with Destroy Lonely for their new song “Turn Your Phone Off,” following recent collaborations and festival performances.
In the song, PinkPantheress sings about an unwanted caller or ex-lover, expressing mixed feelings towards them. She turns off her phone to avoid their calls but still ends up replying to them because she wants to talk. Despite the ups and downs, she continues to answer their calls to keep the connection alive.
Destroy Lonely joins the track with an auto-tuned verse, questioning if something he said caused their relationship to change. He reflects on how money has become his priority, confessing that he let go of love and was affected by their departure.
Last month, PinkPantheress contributed to the ‘Barbie’ soundtrack by co-writing and producing the song “Angel” alongside BloodPop, Count Baldor, and Charlie Puth. This follows the release of her EP “Take Me Home” and collaborations with artists like Willow and Sam Gellaitry.
PinkPantheress also performed at New York’s Governors Ball festival in June, alongside notable artists like Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, and Odesza. The festival, held over three days and three stages, returned to Queens for a memorable musical experience.
