Tom Holland plans to take a break for a year due to emotional exhaustion from ‘The Crowded Room’

Tom Holland, the actor known for portraying Spider-Man and Nathan Drake, recently opened up about his most challenging role to date in the series “The Crowded Room.” In a new interview, Holland revealed that the emotional toll and the added responsibility of being a producer on the show left him exhausted and prompted him to take a year off.

“The Crowded Room” is a 10-episode miniseries in which Holland portrays the character of Danny Sullivan. The series follows Sullivan, an antisocial teenager who gets arrested after a shooting at Rockefeller Center. Through a series of revelations, the show explores the complex inner life of Sullivan, drawing inspiration from the real-life crimes of Billy Milligan, who was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder.
