Tommaso Ciampa is back in the WWE ring after taking time off.
During the opening segment of the show, Ciampa interrupted The Miz’s promo and delivered a punch to his face.
Ciampa continued to attack The Miz outside the ring and even sent him through part of the announce table. The match went back and forth until Ciampa emerged victorious with his finishing move.

Ciampa’s Break
Last October, Ciampa underwent hip labrum surgery, which forced him to take a hiatus from wrestling. He hadn’t competed since a WWE live event on September 17. Prior to his surgery, he had been absent from Monday Night Raw for a few weeks after being paired with The Miz.
To explain his absence, Johnny Gargano mentioned Ciampa’s injury during a backstage promo with The Miz.

There were reports that Ciampa was nearing his return to the ring and was expected to be medically cleared the following month. Before Monday Night Raw, he was spotted in Cleveland, Ohio, and had been present backstage at recent Raw events.
As previously mentioned, WWE plans to reunite Ciampa with Gargano as DIY and have them join The Way alongside Candice LeRae, Dexter Lumis, and Indi Hartwell.
